The Forgotten Bag

It was a cold Monday morning, and the streets were full of people going to work and school. The buses were crowded, and everyone seemed to be in a hurry. Among all these people, there was a young man named Adam who was trying to get to work on time.

كان صباح يوم الاثنين باردًا، وكانت الشوارع مليئة بالأشخاص الــذين يذهبون إلــى العمل وفــي المدرسة. كانت الحافلات مزدحمة، وكان علينا يبدو فــي عجلة مـــن أمره. ومـــن بين كـــل هؤلاء الأشخاص، كان تجد هناك شاب يُدعى آدم يحاول الوصول إلــى عمالية فــي الظل المحدد.

Adam usually left home at seven o’clock, but that morning he woke up late. He quickly got dressed, made a small sandwich, and left the house without having breakfast.

كان آدم يغادر المـــنزل العودةةً فــي الساعة السابعة، لكنه فــي ذلك الصباح استيقظ متأخرًا. ارتدى ملابسه بسرعة، وأعد شطيرة صغيرة، وغادر المـــنزل بدون أنه يتناول الإفطار.

He ran to the bus stop and arrived just before the bus left. He got on the bus, found an empty seat, and finally relaxed. He took out his phone and started checking his emails.

ركض إلــى موقف الحافلات ووصل قبل مغادرة الحافلة باليةة مباشر. صعد إلــى الحافلة، ووجد مقعدًا فارغًا، وأخيرًا شعر ببعض الراحة. أخرج هاتفه وبدأ فــي تفقد رسائالية الذكية.

After about twenty minutes, the bus reached Adam’s stop. He stood up quickly, picked up his phone, and walked toward the door. When the bus stopped, he got off and continued walking toward his office.

بعــد حوالي عشرين دقيقة، وصلت الحافلة إلــى محطة آدم. وقف بسرعة، وأخذ هاتفه، واتجه الية الباب. وعندمـــا توقفت الحافلة، نزل مـــنها واستمر فــي المشي الية مكتبه.

Everything seemed normal until he reached the office. He put his hand in his bag to take out his notebook, but suddenly he noticed something strange.

كان كـــل شيء يبدو طبيعيًا حتى وصل إلــى المكتب. وضع يده فــي حقيبته ليخرج دفتر ملاحظاته، لكنه لاحظ فجأة شيئًا غريبًا.

His bag was not there.

لم تكن حقيبته موجودة.

Adam stopped for a moment and tried to remember where he had left it. Then he realized that he had left the bag on the bus.

توقف آدم للحظة وحاول أنه يتذكر أين تركها. ثـــم أدرك أنه ترك الحقيبة فــي الحافلة.

He felt nervous because the bag contained his laptop, some important documents, and a small notebook where he wrote his work plans. He immediately went back to the bus stop, hoping that the bus was still nearby.

شعر بالتوتر لأنه الحقيبة كانت تحتوي علــى جهاز الكمبيوتر المحمول المعلن به، وبعض المستندات ذات الأهمية، ودفتر صغير كان يكتب فــيــه خطط عمالية. والعودة فورًا إلــى موقف الحافلات، علــى أمل أنه تكون الحافلة لا تزال قريبة.

Unfortunately, the bus had already left. Adam looked at the road and did not know what to do. He felt angry with himself because he knew that the mistake had happened because he was in such a hurry.

للأسف، كانت الحافلة قد غادرت بالفعل. نظر آدم إلــى الالية ولم يعرف مـــاذا يقوم. شعر بالغضب مـــن نفسه لأنه كان يعرف أنه الخطأ حدث لأنه كان فــي عجلة شديدة.

He decided to call the bus company. After waiting for a few minutes, someone answered the phone. Adam explained what had happened and described the bag.

قرر الاتصال بشركة الحافلات. وبعــد انتظار لبضع دقائق، رد شخص علــى االيةاتف. شرح آدم مـــا حدث ووصف الحقيبة.

The employee told him that the driver would check the bus when it reached the final station. Adam gave his phone number and went back to work.

أخبره الموظف أنه السائق سيفحص الحافلة عندمـــا تصل إلــى المحطة الأخيرة. أعطى آدم رقـــم هاتفه والعودة إلــى العمل.

For the next two hours, Adam could not concentrate. He tried to finish his work, but he kept thinking about his bag. He checked his phone several times, but there was no message.

خــلال الساعتين القادمتين، لم يستطع آدم التركيز. حاول إنهاء عمالية، لكنه ظل يفكر فــي حقيبته. تفقد هاتفه عدة مرات، لكن لم تكن تجد هناك أي رسائل.

Finally, his phone rang.

وأخيرًا، رن هاتفه.

It was the bus company. The employee told him that the driver had found the bag under one of the seats. Nothing was missing.

كانت المكالمة مـــن شركة الحافلات. أخبره الموظف أنه السائق وجد الحقيبة تحت أحد المقاعد. ولم يكن تجد هناك شيء مفقود.

Adam felt a huge sense of relief. He thanked the employee and went to the final station after work to collect his bag.

شعر آدم براحة عديدة جدًا. شكر الموظف وذهب إلــى المحطة الأخيرة بعــد العمل ليستلم حقيبته.

When he got home that evening, Adam put his bag on the table and looked at it for a few seconds. He realized that his busy morning had made him forget something very important.

عندمـــا وصل إلــى المـــنزل فــي ذلك المساء، وضع آدم حقيبته علــى الطاولة ونظر إليها لبضع ثوانٍ. أدرك أنه صباحه المزدحم جعالية ينسى شيئًا مهمًا جدًا.

From that day on, he started preparing his things the night before. He also started leaving home ten minutes earlier every morning.

ومـــنذ ذلك حيث اليوم، بدأ فــي تجهيز أغراضه فــي الليلة الماضية. كمـــا بدأ فــي مغادرة المـــنزل قبل موعده بعشر دقائق كـــل صباح.

The experience taught Adam a simple lesson: being in a hurry can sometimes create bigger problems. Taking a few extra minutes to prepare can save a lot of time later.

علّمت التجربة آدم درسًا بسيطًا: التسرع يمكن أنه يسبب أحيانًا مشكـــلات أكبر. أخذ بضع دقائق إضافــية للاستعداد يمكن أنه يوفر العديد مـــن الظل لاحقًا.

He did not want to make the same mistake again. Instead of starting every morning with stress, he decided to slow down, organize his things, and begin his day with a clear mind.
